Public concert broadcast from the Orchestra House

Welcome to our digital concert hall. We will be broadcasting the «Hímnica», Hommage à James Gaffigan symphony concert under the direction of James Gaffigan on Thursday 1 April at 7.30 p.m. The livestream will be publicly available and free of charge.

Himinica was comissioned by the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester in gratitude to James Gaffigan for his tenure as chief conductor from 2009-2021.

No, the concert will be streamed in real time. If you pause the broadcast, it will not continue where you interrupted it.

Must I download a player or any software?

No, the broadcast will be played back directly on our website.

The quality of the broadcast is poor, what can I do?

The concert will be streamed in the best quality possible. However, the quality of the broadcast on your device will depend on your internet connection. In the event of a slower internet connection it is possible that the quality of the broadcast will be automatically downgraded.

Can I stream the concert on my television screen?

We generally recommend that you watch the stream on your laptop/PC/tablet computer. With certain devices, however, streaming can also work via a television set. Your smart TV must be capable of displaying this website, including the video player, correctly.

We endeavour to ensure that we are able to share a great concert experience with you. Nevertheless, technical problems can arise. Should there be any difficulties with the broadcast, we have planned to redirect the concert to our YouTube channel as an alternative.
