SUMMARY:Concert «THE BIG ENSEMBLE»
DESCRIPTION:The inclusive project “THE BIG ENSEMBLE” is coming to Lucerne!\nTHE BIG ENSEMBLE is an experimental and interdisciplinary stage work that unites musicians and dancers with and without disabilities. THE BIG ENSEMBLE celebrates inclusion and diversity. After its premiere in Bern\, it will tour throughout Switzerland. \nOn January 21\, 2025\, THE BIG ENSEMBLE will be a guest in Lucerne. Together with the core team of the inclusive ensemble “Tabula Musica”\, musicians from the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra\, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra\, students from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Music and teachers from the Lucerne School of Music will perform together on stage at the KKL Luzern. The combination of acoustic instruments and modern electronic sounds from synthesizers and adaptable music technology is what makes the musical experience so special. The visual level is also included by using motion tracking to convert the dancers’ movements into sound. The 50-minute stage work includes new compositions and arrangements that were put together especially for the participating artists. \nThe performance at the KKL Luzern is a project initiative by Tabula Musica and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and takes place in cooperation with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Music\, the Lucerne School of Music and Lucerne Festival. \nAccess measures and accessibility\nThe concert will be held as a “Relaxed Performance”: Through a variety of access measures and personal advice when booking tickets\, we want to ensure that people from very different backgrounds feel invited as an audience and comfortable in the hall. The concert is suitable for all people aged 4 and over who enjoy listening to music and are curious. All information about the access measures can be found further down on this page. \nTrailer for the project and music samples\nHere you can find more information about the project and the pieces played. \nSupporting program\nBefore the concert\, there will be an installation in the panorama foyer from 5 p.m. where you can try out the music technology instruments: Making music with your own body movements or just the blink of an eye? Or conjure up dancing pictures on the wall? All this is possible! \nOn January 16\, 2025\, a film by Kleintheater Luzern will be shown at Stadtkino Luzern\, followed by a panel discussion on the topic of inclusion of people with disabilities in culture. \n\n \n \n \n\n\n \n\n \n \n \n Information on purchasing tickets and accessibility in the concert hall\n\n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What's the deal with the ticket prices?\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n You choose whether you want to pay the small price of CHF 25 or the medium price of CHF 35. Children (up to 15 years) pay CHF 10. If you would like to support the inclusive work of Tabula Musica and the initiative THE BIG ENSEMBLE as a patron\, choose the patron ticket at CHF 100. In this case\, we will forward the postal address you provided when booking to Tabula Musica once. Tabula Musica will automatically generate a donation receipt\, send it to you by post and delete your data. \n\n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n How can I book a wheelchair seat?\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n A total of 30 wheelchair spaces are available. Please book wheelchair spaces and assistance spaces directly by e-mail to karten@sinfonieorchester.ch. Please state the number of tickets\, where the assistant would like to sit\, the desired price and your postal address. Our team will book a suitable seat for you. \n\n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n I have a walking aid. Can I take it with me to the seat?\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n You can walk to your seat in the auditorium with your walking sticks or rollator. To ensure that your walking aid does not block the escape routes\, the hall staff will be happy to accept your walking aid\, take care of it in the foyer and bring it back to your seat at the end of the concert. If you come with a walking aid\, please book a seat in the middle of the row for safety reasons. \nIf you are coming with walking sticks and feel more comfortable having them in view during the concert\, please email us at karten@sinfonieorchester.ch with your ticket order. Include the number of tickets\, a reference to the walking aid\, the desired price and your postal address. Our team will then book you a seat right next to one of the walking stick depots. \n\n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n I have an assistance dog. Please book a marginal seat and register yourself and your dog by sending a short e-mail to karten@sinfonieorchester.ch. \n\n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Can I leave the hall during the concert?\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n Yes\, if you would like to be able to go out and come back in between\, it is best to book a marginal seat in the stalls. You will also be able to feel individual instruments on stage. \nPlease register for the pre-show access at musikvermittlung@sinfonieorchester.ch.
