SUMMARY:Final concert of the conducting workshop 2023
DESCRIPTION:Once again\, the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester is holding a conducting course for young conductors under the direction of Principal Conductor Michael Sanderling. The course will take place from September 18 to 22\, 2023 in the Orchestra House of the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester in Kriens and serves to give young conductors the opportunity to work with a professional orchestra at the highest level and to gain valuable practical experience. Participants will conduct works from the classical and early romantic periods. A maximum of five actively participating candidates up to the age of 35 will be admitted to this course. \nAt the end of the course\, one person will be selected from the participants to hold the newly created position of “Assistant to the Principal Conductor” for one year. The course ends with a public concert on Sept. 22\, 2023\, conducted by individual participants.
