Celia Llácer
Debut at Luzerner Sinfonieorchester on November 17, 2025
Celia Llácer began her conducting studies with Maestro Borja Quintas and earned her Master’s degree at the University of the Arts in Zurich under Professors Johannes Schlaefli and Christoph-Mathias Mueller. She has participated in masterclasses with renowned conductors such as Jaap van Zweden, Emmanuel Villaume, James Lowe, Bruno Aprea, Nuno Coelho, and Dinis Sousa.
She has debuted with orchestras such as the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, The Dallas Opera, Göttinger Symphonie Orchester, Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, Real Filharmonía de Galicia, Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonie Konstanz, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria.
In the 2025/26 season, she is assistant conductor of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra under Maestro Thomas Søndergård. She has also worked with the Schweizer Jugend-Sinfonie-Orchester and with the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège during the 2023/24 season, alongside Maestro Gergely Madaras.
In 2024, she conducted the Gstaad Festival Orchestra as part of the Gstaad Conducting Academy. The previous year, she was selected for The Linda and Mitch Hart Institute for Women Conductors at The Dallas Opera. That same year, she also appeared at the Tanglewood Festival with the Young Artists Orchestra of the Tanglewood Institute at Boston University. During the 2024/25 season, she served as Chief Conductor of the Junges Kammerorchester Ostschweiz.
Celia is deeply committed to contemporary music and artistic collaboration. In 2025, she premiered new works by Daniel Arango Prada and Farnaz Modarresifar at Festival Ensemble(s), continuing her work with living composers and new repertoire.
