Orchestra Academy

Experience the daily life of professionals

The Luzerner Sinfonieorchester offers young musicians from Switzerland and abroad the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience of professional orchestral life over the course of a year – both on stage at the KKL Lucerne and in the orchestra pit at the Lucerne Theatre.

The academy students participate as full members of the orchestra in projects with renowned conductors and soloists. They are supported and mentored by musicians from the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester and also gain experience in music education and chamber music concerts.

In this way, the Orchestra Academy builds an important bridge between academic study and professional practice. It nurtures outstanding young talent whilst also contributing to the artistic future of the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester.
