People behind the stage
The Luzerner Sinfonieorchester is organized as an association, led by Pierre Peyer as president. The association promotes and enriches the musical-cultural life in the Lucerne region by organizing concerts of the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, primarily in its function as resident orchestra in the KKL Lucerne and as opera orchestra in the Lucerne Theater.
The Association also elects the Committee, the Vice-President and the Chief Conductor and Intendant, determines their terms of reference and is responsible for the preparation of the annual report and accounts.
20 employees of the office are responsible for the planning and implementation of about 200 events per year in the KKL Luzern, Orchesterhaus and Luzerner Theater, on tours and as part of the music education program at various venues throughout Central Switzerland.
