After studies in her hometown Melbourne, Fiona Aeschlimann-Harvey came to the Lucerne School of Music to gratuate with a concert diploma.
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Fiona Aeschlimann studied the violin with Christopher Martin, and piano with Mac Jost at the university in her home town. She attained a Bachelor of Music Degree in 1980.
Two years later she continued her violin studies with Gunars Larsens at the Lucerne School of Music, graduating with a Concert Diploma in 1987. Fiona Aeschlimann was a member of the Festival Strings Lucerne from 1984 to 1989, and has been a member of the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester since 1990.
In addition to this, she has many years of chamber music experience, not only as a violinist in various ensembles – including Ensemble Kaleidoscope and Camerata Meggen (concertmaster) – but also as a pianist and harpsichordist.
