Guillaume Bellom

Guillaume Bellom

Debut with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra on January 13, 2026

Guillaume Bellom is one of the most remarkable musical personalities of his generation. He began his training in his hometown of Besançon, studying both violin and piano, and continued on both instruments at the Conservatoire de Paris. There, he decided to devote himself fully to his career as a pianist, shaped by inspiring mentors such as Nicholas Angelich and Hortense Cartier-Bresson.

As a finalist and winner of the “Modern Times” Prize for the best interpretation of a contemporary work at the Clara Haskil Competition in 2015, he first attracted international attention — at a competition dedicated to the great Romanian pianist, who herself had also been a gifted violinist. That same year, he won First Prize at the International Épinal Competition and became a laureate of the L’Or du Rhin Foundation, before receiving the Thierry Scherz Prize at the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad Festival in 2016. In 2017, he was nominated for “Instrumental Soloist – Revelation of the Year” at the Victoires de la Musique Classique. Since 2018, he has been an associate artist of the Fondation Singer-Polignac in Paris.

As a soloist, Guillaume Bellom has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre National d’Île-de-France, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, the Orchestre National de Montpellier, and the Orchestre National de Lorraine, collaborating with conductors including Jacques Mercier, Christian Zacharias, Pierre Dumoussaud, and Marzena Diakun.

His deep passion for chamber music and his broad repertoire make him a highly sought-after musical partner. He appears regularly at prestigious festivals such as the Festival International de Piano de La Roque d’Anthéron, the Festival de Pâques in Aix-en-Provence, Piano aux Jacobins, the Festival de Pâques and L’Août Musical in Deauville, the Festival des Arcs, as well as in the Shanghai Concert Hall, the Bombay Royal Opera House, and the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. He has performed with renowned artists such as Renaud Capuçon, Paul Meyer, Yan Levionnois, Victor Julien-Laferrière, Ismaël Margain, Anne Göckel, Adrien Bellom, and the Hermès, Girard, and Hanson Quartets.

His discography includes, among others, two albums of piano four-hand works by Schubert (awarded “ffff” by Télérama) and Mozart, recorded with Ismaël Margain for the label Aparté, as well as a CD with cellist Yan Levionnois (also awarded “ffff” by Télérama), released in 2017 by Fondamenta. That same year, his solo recording featuring works by Schubert, Haydn, and Debussy was released by Claves.
