Born in Solothurn, she’s discovered the organ for herself when she began her church music studies at the Lucerne University of Music in the fall of 2000. Prior to that, she focused on the piano, violin and singing. In 2005, she graduated in church music A, majoring in organ and choral conducting. She continued her organ studies with Monika Henking in Lucerne and obtained her teaching diploma in spring 2007 and her concert diploma shortly afterwards. She completed both studies with distinction. In 2008, she completed her fourth university degree with a teaching diploma in singing.
She has enjoyed further training and master classes with Hans Ola Ericsson (SWE), Ewald Kooimann (HOL), Siegbert Rampe (USA), Lorenzo Ghielmi (ITA), Jos van der Kooy (HOL), Walter Pool (USA), Derison Duarte (USA) and Margreet Honig (HOL), among others.
Luzia Vogelsang was awarded the “Odd fellows” foundation prize in 2005.
Concert tours with voice and organ have taken her from Holland, Germany and Austria to Italy, Hungary and Portugal.
Since then she has worked as a conductor of various choir formations, as an organist and singing teacher.
