Martina Meola was born on November 28, 2012, in Milan. After beginning her piano studies with Prof. Irina Bogataia at the A. Starcea Arts School in Chișinău, she has been studying since the age of nine with Prof. Silvia Limongelli as part of the Young Talents program at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan.

At a young age, she won the First Absolute Prize at the Grand Master International Piano Competition – Vladimir Horowitz Edition in Ukraine, the Città di Albenga Piano Competition, and the International Piano Talents Competition in Milan, where she also received the Kids Super Prize. She won Second Prize at the Città di Cantù International Competition for piano and orchestra, as well as the First Prize in Category H – Young Talents – at the Milan Conservatory Award.

Between September and October 2024, she received the Galletta del Livorno Piano Competition Award, won the 8th International Piano Competition “Città di Minerbio” (earning the Absolute First Prize in Category I, the Liszt Prize, and the EMCY Special Prize), and triumphed in Category D of the International Piano Competition Elsa Pozzoli, where she also received both the Audience Prize and the Special Prize for the best interpretation of a work by E. Pozzoli. In addition, she was awarded the Sergio Dragoni Prize 2024.

In March 2025, Martina Meola won First Prize at the Jeune Chopin Competition 2025, whose jury was chaired by Martha Argerich. In June 2025, she received the Alkan Prize for Romantic Piano Virtuosity, and on September 11, 2025, she was awarded the Santa Margherita New Careers Award 2025 by the Marzotto family, performing on that occasion at the Teatro Comunale Luigi Russolo in Portogruaro during the 43rd International Music Festival of Portogruaro.

Martina Meola has given numerous recitals in Italy and abroad, including performances in Florence, Rome, Bologna, Trapani, Monaco, Brussels, and Paris (Salle Cortot), as well as for the Società dei Concerti di Milano and Steinway & Sons.

With orchestra, she has performed Bach’s Piano Concerto in F minor, BWV 1056, Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A major, K. 414, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 15 (at the Gala Concert of the European Political Community Summit in Chișinău, Moldova), and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 (in the Sala Verdi of the Milan Conservatory with the youth orchestra, during the official visit of Italian President Sergio Mattarella to Moldova).

Recently, she performed at the Jeune Chopin Festival in Lausanne in the Salle Paderewski alongside the competition’s jury and played at Frédéric Chopin’s birthplace in Żelazowa Wola.

She has participated in masterclasses with Evgeny Kissin, Lilya Zilberstein, Alexander Romanovsky, and Nikolai Demidenko.
