Petra Besa
Biografie
Petra Besa showed a keen interest in playing the piano from a very early age. Between 1982 and 1986, she won the international “Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte” competition four times.
Petra Besa studied piano at the BrĂĽnner Konservatorium. In 1996, she graduated having been awarded the prize for best pianist, and in 2001 she was awarded a doctorate with distinction and the title “Master of Music” at the Janáček Academy of Music in BrĂĽnn. She then moved to Switzerland to continue her studies in Bruno Canino’s soloist class at the Hochschule fĂĽr Musik und Theater in Bern. In 2003, she completed her studies with a soloist’s diploma. She devotes herself intensively to chamber music and accompaniment at the Musik-Akademie Basel.
