Workshop and rehearsal visit «Alcina»

Dive into opera
A drama teacher from the Lucerne Theatre and a musician from the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester will visit your school.
For 90 minutes, the classroom becomes an opera stage. Through music, movement and drama, the two facilitators Christine Cyris and Madeleine Burkhalter will introduce the world of «Alcina», the opera by George Frideric Handel. Following this, the class will attend a stage & orchestra rehearsal and discover how the story is transferred to the opera stage, learn about the sustainability of stage design and wave to «their»musician in the orchestra pit.
