Lady Annabelle Weidenfeld und Numa Bischof Ullmann im Gespräch über pianistische Memoiren.

In an exclusive discussion with Lady Annabelle Weidenfeld and the artistic director Numa Bischof Ullmann, questions will be raised about the piano and its role in musical and cultural history. In an atmosphere of exchange, Lady Annabelle Weidenfeld will discuss her own musical background and experiences in the sphere of great artists – always in the field of tension between art, personality and the eternal fascination of the piano. The conversation will explore the deeper meaning of music and art in life and in dialog with time.

Lady Annabelle Weidenfeld, born Annabelle Whitestone, was a concert manager who worked closely with important artists such as Artur Rubinstein. She played a key role in his chamber music work and assisted him with his autobiography. After Rubinstein’s death, she organized an event in his memory in 2008. She was also active in cultural organizations and married the publisher Lord George Weidenfeld in 1992. After his death, she continued her work and was in a relationship with the pianist Menahem Pressler until 2023.
