Alexander Roslavets

Debut at Luzerner Sinfonieorchester on January 15th 2025

The Belarusian bass Alexander Roslavets completed his vocal training at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in St. Petersburg. His international competition successes include awards at the 1st International Music Competition in Habin and the Queen Sonja Singing Competition, as well as 1st prize and the Audience Prize at the Éva Marton Competition in Budapest in 2016. From 2014 to 2016, he was a member of the Young Artists’ Program at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. In 2015, he made his debut at the Belarusian Bolshoi Theatre in Minsk and celebrated his debut as Tom in Un ballo in maschera at St. Petersburg’s Mikhailovsky Theatre. He has been a member of the Hamburg State Opera ensemble since the 2016/17 season. In 2018, he made his first appearance at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as René in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta. He has worked with conductors such as Michail Jurowski, Tugan Sokhiev, Kent Nagano, Paolo Carignani, Yves Abel, Stefano Ranzani and Vladimir Fedossejew. He is now making his debut at the Bavarian State Opera in the role of Balaga in the new production of War and Peace.
