David Jussel
Biography
David Jussel has been studying orchestral conducting at the mdw Vienna since 2023 and will work as a répétiteur with the Vienna State Opera Choir for the 2026/27 season.
David Jussel, born 2005 in Bonn, received his first musical education at the age of six on the piano and French horn and gained performance experience as a member of the Vienna Boys’ Choir, with whom he sang concerts on tours through Europe, Japan and the USA. He took his first conducting lessons with Dirk Kaftan (General Music Director of the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn) and studies Orchestral Conducting with Prof. Mark Stringer and Opera Accompaniment with Prof. Andreas Henning since 2023 at the mdw Vienna. During this time he has participated in valuable masterclasses led by Paavo Järvi, Johannes Schlaefli, Nicolás Pasquet, Gustavo Gimeno, Dinis Sousa and Nuno Coelho. Since the 2026/27 season he works as a répétiteur for the Vienna State Opera Choir.
