Elvira Margarian

Armenian soprano Elvira Margarian began piano lessons at age six and completed piano studies in 2015 before switching to vocal training at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow; she graduated from the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan in 2023. During her time in the opera studio she sang roles such as Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Adina (L’elisir d’amore). Since the 2024/25 season she has been a member of Luzerner Theater, portraying Adele in Die Fledermaus, the Dew Fairy and Sandman in Hänsel und Gretel and Laura in Luisa Miller; the 2025/26 season will see her as Papagena/Pamina, a niece in Peter Grimes and Gianetta in L’elisir d’amore.
