Gabriela Opacka-Boccadoro

Biography

Gabriela Opacka-Boccadoro is a Polish-born British conductor and violinist. She is currently studying orchestral conducting in Stockholm while continuing to perform internationally as a violinist and recording artist.

Gabriela Opacka-Boccadoro is a Polish-born, naturalised British conductor and violinist. She holds a PhD in violin from the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and an Artist Diploma from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Orchestra Conducting at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Her conducting development has included masterclasses, academies and performance opportunities with NOSPR, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Gävle Symphony Orchestra, MÁV Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Multilatérale, Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra, Västerås Sinfonietta and Manchester Camerata, in collaboration with the Royal Northern College of Music. Her mentors have included Jorma Panula, Elizabeth Askren and Ole Kristian Ruud. She was selected for the Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship 2027 Mentoring Program.

Alongside conducting, Gabriela maintains an active career as a violinist and recording artist, performing with ensembles including the London Philharmonic Orchestra and working across chamber music, theatre and film.
