Hwapyeong Gwon

South Korean tenor Hwapyeong Gwon studied at the Korea National University of Arts and continued his vocal training with Anton Scharinger at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He has performed roles including Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor and the title role in a contemporary Korean opera Hamlet, and he has appeared in Italy, Germany, Austria and South Korea. Gwon is a prize‑winner of numerous international competitions such as Canto Lirico and participates in masterclasses with leading singers.
