Josefiina Dunder

Biography

Musician, music educator and clown – she brings together what she loves and what moves her: music, play and encounter with people.

As a flautist, Josefiina Dunder has many years of experience performing with orchestras in Switzerland and abroad. Since 2016, she has regularly performed as a guest musician with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, and became a permanent member of the Zuger Sinfonietta in summer 2026. For the past 15 years, she has shared her passion for music as a music educator. At the Music School in Willisau, she teaches flute, music movement and dance, as well as parent-and-child singing. In her own projects, she combines music and theatre, writes scripts and composes songs for children. For the „Klanggrenzen Festival“ in Coburg, among other projects, she created and performed the music theatre pieces Pia Pop und Klaus Klassik (Pia Pop and Klaus Classic) and Miki und die Botschaft der Bäume (Miki and the Wisdom of the Trees). Clowning brings together many of the elements that have accompanied Josefiina Dunder on and off stage over the years. At the same time, it opens up a new world where imperfection has its place, failure becomes part of the play, and the unexpected is welcomed. Here, music and clowning meet, creating a space for encounter, shared laughter, wonder and discovery.
