Biography

Born in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Manuel received his first violin and piano lessons at a young age. After music school, Manuel continued to pursue a Bachelor and Master degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich with Michael Gläser.

In 2019 he continued his studies in Orchestral Conducting with Maruc Bosch.
Besides his studies, Manuel has taken part in various masterclasses, for example with Peter Dijkstra. During the span of his education he has worked with several orchestras, amongst others, the Munich Symphony, the Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz and the Orquestra Simfonica Illes Balears.

He is also active as a singer in the Philharmonic Chor Munich, the A-cappella Ensemble “6forChords” and the Madrigalchoir of the Munich University, with which he has placed first in many renowned choir competitions.

Furthermore, Manuel manages his own ensembles in the Munich area. He has been leading the vocal ensemble Cantabile Freising since 2018 as well as the Maria Ward Choir Munich since 2021. Manuel also works as a composer and arranger for these choirs, as well as his own Ensemble, A-cappella.
