Mauro Peter

Swiss tenor Mauro Peter, born in Lucerne, studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and won both first prize and the audience prize at the 2012 International Robert Schumann Competition. He made his Schubertiade debut in 2012 and has since appeared at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie and the Semperoper. Highlights of the 2024/25 season include role debuts as Max in Weber’s Der Freischütz and the Prince in Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges and a tour with Schubert’s Winterreise.
