Maxime Pascal

French conductor Maxime Pascal (born 1985 in Nantes) is acclaimed for his interpretations of 20th‑century and contemporary music. In 2008 he founded the ensemble Le Balcon and has since pursued ambitious projects, notably the complete staging of Stockhausen’s opera cycle Licht. Winner of the 2014 Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award, Pascal works with orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris and Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and becomes its chief conductor from the 2023/24 season.
