At the age of fourteen, Sergio Tiempo made his debut at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and soon became internationally recognised for his energy and musical versatility, ranging from Brahms to Villa-Lobos and Ginastera.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Sergio Tiempo began his piano studies with his mother Lyl Tiempo, receiving regular musical guidance from Martha Argerich and Nelson Freire.
Recent career highlights include his debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra and an eight-concert tour of the USA and Europe with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel.
Next season, he will make his debut with the Berlin Philharmonic under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel. He has recorded the Schubert Fantasy with Martha Argerich for Avanti Classic.
