Biography

Stojan Krkuleski gained orchestral experience with the Symphony Orchestra of the Serbian Radio and Television, the Opera Orchestra of the National Theatre in Belgrade and as an intern with the Bern Symphony Orchestra. He has been principal clarinettist of the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester and a member of the audition committee since 2014.

Born in Belgrade in 1986, Stojan Krkuleski studied at the Faculty of Musical Arts in Belgrade with Ante Grgin and at the Basel Academy of Music with François Benda.

He has enjoyed success in many international competitions including the Marco Fiorindo Competition in Turin, Jeunesses Musicales in Belgrade and the ARD International Music Competition. Stojan Krkuleski gained orchestral experience with the Symphony Orchestra of the Serbian Radio and Television, the Opera Orchestra of the National Theatre in Belgrade and as an intern with the Bern Symphony Orchestra. In addition to recitals, he has performed as a soloist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra and Basel Chamber Orchestra. He has attended master classes with Gottfried Johannes Pokorny, Mate Bekavac, Paul Meyer and François Benda, and worked with renowned conductors such as Bernard Haitink, Andrey Borenko and Mario Venzago.
