Timothy Ridout
British violist Timothy Ridout took first prize at the 2016 Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition. He serves as artist‑in‑residence with the Philharmonia Orchestra in the 2025/26 season and appears as soloist with ensembles such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris and Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. A member of the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, Ridout is active in new music and has premiered works by composers including Thomas Adès and Brett Dean. His chamber partners include Steven Isserlis, Christian Tetzlaff and Igor Levit.
