Zofia Kiniorska

Zofia Kiniorska is a Polish conductor. In 2024-26 she served as Assistant Conductor of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, working alongside Music Director Jonathan Nott and internationally renowned guest conductors and soloists. Her professional appointments include Resident Conductor of Sinfonia Varsovia and assistant conductor positions at the Poznań Opera House and Polish National Ballet. She has also collaborated with the Warsaw Philharmonic, Deutsche Philharmonie Merck, Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra and Orquestra do Algarve. In 2022, she received the Audience Award at the Conductors’ Academy with Paavo Järvi and the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich. Two years later, she was selected for the Ammodo Conducting Masterclass with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Paavo Järvi, and for the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester masterclass with Alan Gilbert. She has also studied under the guidance of Marin Alsop, Johannes Schlaefli, Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, Neeme Järvi, Jaap van Zweden, Jukka Pekka Saraste and Hannu Lintu. Her further training includes the Gstaad Conducting Academy, the Pärnu Music Festival and the LEAD! Fiskars Summer Festival. Kiniorska was a semifinalist in the Donatella Flick LSO Competition, International Conducting Competition Rotterdam and Mahler Competition.
