Biography

Jakub Przybycień is a Polish conductor and violinist. He made his conducting debut in 2018 at London’s Wigmore Hall conducting the EUYO-Ensemble.

Currently a Master Specialized student and an assistant of the conducting class of Professor Johannes Schlaefli at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. Master graduate at the Hochschule der Künste Bern in the violin class of Professor Monika Urbaniak-Lisik.

Chief Conductor of the Zürcher Orchester Society since 2022. Scholarship holder of the Forum Dirigieren since 2022. Finalist of the Masterclasses with the Critical Orchestra Berlin 2022. Winner of the Neeme Järvi Prize at the Gstaad Festival Conducting Academy 2021.

He has honed his skills under the guidance of outstanding conductors, including Neeme, Paavo, and Christian Järvi, Jaap van Zweden, Jorma Panula, Marin Alsop and Leonid Grin.

He has successfully collaborated with some of the orchestras in Germany, Switzerland, France, Czech Republic, Poland and Estonia. In the upcoming artistic season Jakub will be working with Sinfonie Orchester Biel Solothurn and Luzerner Sinfonieorchester in Switzerland, as well as with the Zielona Góra Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland.
