Greek conductor Nefeli Chadouli is an Associate Fellow of the Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship (2024-26). Since 2023, she has been the Permanent Conductor of the Babylon Orchester Berlin and, as of June 2024, the Conductor of the Berlin-Brandenburgisches Sinfonieorchester.
Nefeli has conducted renowned ensembles such as the Chicago Philharmonic, Staatsorchester Braunschweig, Brandenburger Symphoniker, Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, Sinfonia Leipzig, Leipziger Symphonieorchester, and the Thessaloniki and Athens City Symphony Orchestras. In September 2024, she will debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra in London, conducting Mahler’s 2nd Symphony.
Nefeli has been mentored by Marin Alsop, Harry Curtis, Steven Sloane, Matthias Foremny, and Catherine Larsen-Maguire, and has worked as an Assistant Conductor in both symphonic and operatic settings. She completed her studies in piano and musicology in Greece, later earning a Bachelor’s degree in orchestral conducting from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig, followed by a Master’s degree from the Universität der Künste Berlin.
