Piano Festival «Le Piano Symphonique»

Event Description

The complete programme of the piano festival “Le Piano Symphonique” will only be announced in June. Already confirmed, however, is the concert “Martha Argerich & Friends”, which brings together central elements of this festival.

Solo recitals, chamber music and concerts with orchestra at “Le Piano Symphonique” open a special perspective on the relationship between pianistic and symphonic sound. They create new concert formats in which international artistic personalities encounter young talents.

The central artistic figure of this network is Martha Argerich. Since 2024, she has been associated with the festival as “Pianiste Associée” and shapes it through her presence, artistic personality and international network.

At “Le Piano Symphonique”, the piano can thus be experienced at close range – in the concert hall of the KKL Luzern, in the Orchesterhaus and at further venues across the city.

Martha Argerich is one of the defining artistic personalities of our time. Since 2024, she has been closely associated with the piano festival Le Piano Symphonique as “artiste associée”, shaping it with her artistic vision and international network.

Together with long-standing musical partners, she presents a chamber music programme that includes, among other works, Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet. The meeting of such outstanding artists creates moments of exceptional intensity and spontaneity.

An evening in the spirit of the festival: vibrant, dialogic, and of the highest musical quality.
