Family offer

CHF 10 per child. The first accompanying person receives a 50% reduction, the second 30%.

U27 ticket

For everyone up to and including 27 years of age: CHF 10 at the box office.

Students

Up to 30 years of age: a fixed price of CHF 20 at the box office.

People with disabilities and their companions

50% reduction on the ticket price in the any category. Assistants are admitted free of charge.

School classes

From 10 persons CHF 10 per person. One accompanying person per 10 pupils also pays CHF 10.

Concert tickets are not personalised, so they may be used by someone else.

Parking is available at the KKL Luzern in the station car parks P1, P2 or P3. We recommend travelling by public transport.

The main entrance to the KKL Luzern is about 100 metres from Lucerne railway station.

The Orchesterhaus can be reached by bus no. 14 (towards Horw Zentrum). Please get off at «Südpol» bus stop.

Our orchestra can be heard and seen in different sizes. Depending on the concert and the programme, the line-up on stage also changes. Several pieces are played on one evening, often consisting of individual movements. You can see the exact programme on our website or buy a programme booklet at the venue for CHF 5. Before symphony concerts there is usually a pre-concert talk in the hall at 6.30 pm, where you can learn exciting facts about the works and hear short audio samples.

As a rule, the concerts last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. The length may vary due to alterations, applause and encores so we do not announce the expected duration.

As a rule, there is an interval during which refreshments can be purchased.

You are also welcome to switch on your mobile phone during the break.

The Break is usually 25 Minutes.

If a piece has several movements, there is no clapping in between them. This allows the orchestral musicians to maintain their concentration and helps keep the connection between movements. Expert tip: pay attention to the person next to you so as not to miss your cue for the final applause.

If you clap for a particularly long time after a solo recital, you might be rewarded with an encore! If you want to set a new world record, please allow plenty of time. Currently, the world record for the longest final applause is 67 minutes – for the star tenor Luciano Pavarotti.

The KKL Luzern concert hall is well known for its excellent acoustics. Not only can you hear the very softest sounds in the music from every seat, the noises from the audience are also audible throughout the hall. You are welcome to help yourself to cough sweets by the stairs. The wrappers are extra quiet, of course!

Visitors to a classical concert like to dress smartly. However, there are no explicit guidelines on the choice of dress. It is more important to us that you come with your ears open!

Jackets and larger bags must be handed in at the cloakroom for fire safety reasons. There you can check the size of your bag and take it into the hall if necessary.
