Event Description
The Christmas singalong with the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester brings together several lines of this season through vocal works by John Rutter and Beethoven’s hymn to joy. With Konzertchor Klangwerk Luzern, the choirs of the Luzerner Kantorei, the Luzerner Mädchenchor and Luzerner Sängerknaben as well as the ChorTon Vokalensemble, a large Lucerne choral family comes together.
In this concert for the whole family – for listening and singing along – there is room for theatrical Christmas stories between excerpts from John Rutter’s “Mass of the Children”, his orchestral meditations and Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy”.
This early evening concert thus combines festive choral music, familiar Christmas atmosphere and the central Beethoven motif of the season: joy as a musical and human force.
