The Luzerner Sinfonieorchester's new piano festival «Le piano symphonique» will take place from 9 - 13 February 2022. The focus will be on the composer Johannes Brahms. Already in November 2021, all five piano concertos by Camille Saint-Saëns and a selection of his chamber music oeuvre were performed as part of this new piano festival.
With an extensive, five-day Brahms cycle, the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester and renowned soloists and chamber musicians will illuminate the various aspects of the compositional œuvre of this classic Romantic composer as part of the new piano festival. The symphonist Brahms will have his say as well as the pianist; chamber music programmes, night concerts on the organ as well as a song recital will also acquaint the audience with aspects of Brahms' oeuvre that are sometimes less familiar and provide their own answers to the question of who Brahms actually was.
