In conjunction with the awarding of an assistant conductor position for one year.

Conducting course for young conductors with the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester under the direction of principal conductor Michael Sanderling.
At the end of the course, one participant will be selected for the newly created position of “Assistant to the Principal Conductor” for one year.

The course will take place from 15th-18th November 2022 in the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester Orchesterhaus in Kriens. The course is designed to give young conductors the opportunity to work with a professional orchestra at the highest level and to gain valuable practical experience. Participants will conduct works from the classical and early romantic periods. The course culminates in a public concert on 18th November 2022, conducted by selected participants.
