Event Description
The theme: On the courage of giving each other wings. Inspired by motifs from Luis SepΓΊlveda’s fable The Story of a Seagull and the Cat Who Taught Her to Fly, the event revolves around trust, belonging, personal breakthroughs, and the bravery to leap into the unknown. The ensemble takes you on a sonic journeyβfrom the minimalist power of Philip Glass (Company) and the soaring textures of Szymanowski to Mahler’s intimate UrlichtΒ and Caroline Shaw’s uplifting Fly Away I. The music creates a shared space to reflect, unwind, and connect.
How it works: In this interactive format, you will sit in a group of four, with the theme weaving through the music. There is a 5 Minute break in between each piece for moderated conversation prompts. During the breaks, the floor is yours: choose a prompt to share thoughts, stories, or anecdotes with your table. After that, things get shuffled upβyou rotate to new seats, meet new faces, and the music starts all over again! Are you in?
